Simple method of thermal parameters determination
Original language description
The presented work aims to the describing of method for determination of the thermal properties of the glass The presented work aims to the describing of method for determination of the thermal properties of the glass fibers reinforced polyester composites. The thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity and thermal diffusivity of the estimated materials were observed. All the parameters were determined by the step wise transient method using a differential fractal heat transfer model. From the results were observed the dependence of the thermal parameters on the sample thickness. The thin samples are appropriate for the measurement of the thermal conductivity because homogeneous thermal field in the sample. For larger thicknesses, heat is spread over a smaller area. On the other hand, the thick samples are usable for measurement of the specific heat capacity. For smaller sample thicknesses (small volumes) there are greater heat losses to the surroundings. The correlation between thickness of the sam
