The paper deals with the problems of engineering technologies and their environmental impact, applied particularly to the used cutting compounds incl. their disposal. The general evaluation of technological processes is based on the exact method of the Cost Benefit Analysis. The multi-criteria optimization method, derived from the vector, factor and discrimination analysis, correlation calculus and tests of significance may be used for assessment of the environmental impact, namely so that the complex value of environmental load of each locality is determined by the dimensionless criterion Qi.
