The paper deals with the analysis of impacts of integration of environmental, economic and social indicators in relation to economic crisis and its current recession. The concept of "sustainable development" has now become part of our everyday life. Professionals are concerned with this issue, among others, at the time when a change in people's thinking as well as behaviour is more than needed, including the period of crisis. Sustainable development can be defined as a better quality of life for everyone today as well as for generations to come. It is a vision of progress integrating the individual economic, environmental and social pillars into a whole. The main areas of attention of the Strategic Framework for Sustainable Development in the Czech Republic involve society, people and health, economy and innovation, area development, landscape, ecosystems and biodiversity, stable and safe society.
