A FUZZY-LOGIC-BASED APPROACH TO QUALITATIVE MODELLING OF ESG ASPECTS OF CORPORATE PERFORMANCE
Original language description
The aim of the paper is the proposal of possible utilization of fuzzy logic for evaluation of a complex company performance. Environmental, social and Corporate Governance (ESG) factors increase company's long-term economic performance. Economic performance together with ESG aspects creates complex corporate performance. It seems that classic models are very simplified. There is a need of using rationale, mainly qualitative models together with fuzzy logic. In this paper, authors analyze the use of theoretical modelling of the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) performance indicators. Economic, environmental, social and governance factors form the core business strategy. Using advanced quantitative methods (optimization/stochastic/dynamic, etc.) in a measurement of complex company performance can be refined on qualitative aspects by capturing them with non-deterministic methods (uncertainty/data mining/imprecision/fuzzy logic, etc.).
