    Current trends of digitalization in the utility sector

    Purpose of the article: This article discusses the current trends of digitalization in the utility sector. Based on the findings from multiple sources, the main areas of interest in digitalization are identified together with their brief definitions, advantages, and concerns for their implementation. Methodology/methods: The research is in form of a literature review of current paper works. Scientific aim: This paperwork aims to identify the main trends of digitalization that are used and enhance the utility industry. Findings: The main trends in the case of digitalization helping the utility sector to develop and grow are the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Robotics, and Blockchain Technology. Conclusions: For companies to remain competitive in the industry is essential to follow the current trends from which digitalization is an important topic. Speeded up by the Covid-19 pandemic and due to social distancing, the digitalization processes have been embedded in the corporate strategies even more intensively creating a new, more efficient environment. Hence, the findings of this article are found relevant can serve as a cornerstone for future research.
