    SOMA - Self-Organizing Migrating Algorithm

  • Original language description

In this contribution is explained a new algorithm - Self-Organizing Migrating Algorithm (SOMA), which can be classified like evolutionary algorithm. Principle of this algorithm is explained and then evaluated on various tested functions and examples. This article discusses solving non-linear programming problems containing integer, discrete and continuous variables. A novel mixed integer-discrete-continuous, non-linear optimization method based on SOMA is described as well as the required handling techniques for integer, discrete and continuous variables. In addition, the technique needed to handle boundary constrains as well as those needed to simultaneously deal with several non-linear and non-trivial constraint functions
