Selenium containing heterocyclic: Synthesis, antimicrobial of some new selenazole Substituted phthalazin-ones
Original language description
The principal purpose of the present study is to synthesize and investigate the antimicrobial and antifungal activities of new 1, 3-selenazole derivatives having phthalazin-1(2H)-one moieties. A multi-step reaction route was developed to synthesize a several of targeted derivatives starting from 4-alkyl/aryl-phthalazin-1(2H)-one and 2-chloro-N-phenylacetamide. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by 1HNMR, 13CNMR, MS, IR spectroscopy and by elemental analysis. The antimicrobial andantifungal activities of all derivatives against four species of bacteria and two species of fungi were investigated. The antimicrobial and antifungal activity was determined in the extracts using disk diffusion method. Amoxicillin and Ketoconazole wereused as standard drugs for the bacteria and fungi, respectively.
