Development of variables of 11 competitive swimmers on a 100m freestyle track
Original language description
In this paper we deal with the results of measurements conducted during swimming (front crawl technique) on the 100m long course in a pool having 25 meters in length. On this track We aim to evaluate variables Stroke rate (SR), Efficiency of the swimming technique (EFF) and Mean speed (AVGs) of the swimmer. Our goals are to determine how the these variables differs in various sections of the course and to clarify the relationship among the variables, particularly the impact of movement rate on mean speed and efficiency of swimming. The results show a statistically significant decrease in values of all three variables occurred during the four legs of the 100 m swimming course. The largest decline occurred in the second and third legs of the course. We ascribe this decline to the increasing fatigue of swimmers. There was no obvious decline in the values of variables in the fourth leg of the course. Efficiency of swimming technique decreased, but its development during the course differs. Changes in the difference SR and AVGs values are not statistically significant. The development of their values in individual legs is in accordance. We are not able to prove statistically any relation between SR and EFF.
