The aim of the study was to investigate the benefi ts of the calculation of the Risk Ovarian Malignancy Algorithm (ROMA) index for the primary detection of ovarian cancer in a population of Czech women. Aware of the age distribution of ovarian cancer, wefocused on post-menopausal patients. In conclusion the HE4 together with that of CA125 determination and calculation of the ROMA2 index a suitable method for the improvement of the primary detection of ovarian cancer.
