Comparative Studies of Thyroid 99mTc Uptake Measured with Gamma Camera and Scintillation Probe

The purpose of these studies was to compare data obtained in thyroid 99mTc uptake measurements carried out with a gamma camera against results from a scintillation probe. Data from 30 patients (average age 52 years) with hyperthyroidism were calculated after intravenously administered of 60 MBq of 99mTcO4 (1ml). The radioactivity of radiopharmaceutical was measured after 20 min with gamma camera Nucline AP (Mediso) equipped with pihhole collimator and with a scintillation probe SSU-70-2 (Polon).The difference in the thyroid 99mTc uptake resulting from gamma camera measurement and the data obtained from the scintillation probe was not greater than 2,3 %.

Srovnávací studie vychytávání technecia ve štítné žláze měřeného gama kamerou a scintilační sondou

Czech description

Cílem těchto studií bylo porovnat data získaná z měření uptaku 99mTc ve štítné žláze provedených s gama kamerou s výsledky ze scintilační sondy. Data od 30 pacientů (průměrný věk 52 let) s hypertyreózou byla vypočtena po intravenózně podaných 60 MBq 99mTcO4 ( 1 ml). Radioaktivita radiofarmaka byla měřena po 20 min s gama kamerou Nucline AP (Mediso) vybavenou pihhole kolimátorem a se scintilační sondou SSU-70-2 (Polon). Rozdíl ve vychytávání 99mTc ve štítné žláze měřeného pomocí gama kamery a dat získaných pomocí scintilační sondy nebyl vyšší než 2,3%.
