Switching from NPH insulin to once-daily insulin detemir in basal-bolus-treated patients with diabetes mellitus: data from the European cohort ot the PREDICTIVE study
Original language description
The PREDICTIVE study is a multinational observational study designed to follow up patients with diabetes who started insulin detemir in routine care. We report 12-week follow-up data for patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who, as part of basal-bolustherapy, switched from once- or twice-daily neutral protamine Hagedorn insulin (NPH) to once daily. End-points evaluated from patients records and diaries - were incidence of serious adverse drug reaction, glycaemic parameters, hypoglycaemia and weightchange.
