Security Management at the Emergency Medical Service in the Czech Republic - Pre case study

  • Original language description

Security management is an area of management that deals with the security of assets (resources) in an organization, i.e. both physical security and digital security. The key areas also include human resources management, occupational safety and health protection. Security management is very closely linked to risk management and aims to create conditions that will help to prevent or minimize identified risks, mainly through internal policies, processes, standards and tools. Risks also include accidents at work of employees. As part of the prevention of accidents, measures that would prevent the occurrence or repetition of the occurrence of an injury with the same cause or source must always be applied. The first phase of risk management must identify the origin and causal link of occupational accidents, which was the intention of the implementation of the submitted pre-case study in the field of the Emergency Medical Services of the Czech Republic. The authors dealt with a quantitative method consisting of statistical processing of data from the accident book and identifying the interdependencies (correlations) between them.
