  • Original language description

    The article provides a thorough theoretical analysis of the key issues, challenges and needs of social service workers caring for people living with dementia. The text focuses on demographic changes in Europe that are increasing the proportion of older people in the population and thus the number of clients requiring demanding care. The main themes of the text are the importance of support mechanisms such as supervision, professional development, working conditions and the prevention of burnout. The article also works with topics such as training programs, modern technology, and organizational culture promoting teamwork and mental health of workers. Emphasis is placed on creating systemic measures to improve the work environment, leading to higher quality care and employee motivation.
