Original language description
Health system stability and sustainability is of a great importance for every country who cares about human capital and living standards. The article is concerned with essential macroeconomic problems of health care financing, which are important for its stability and subsequently overall performance of the Czech economy. These encompass fiscal space for health, the configuration of typical health care financing schemes and probabilities of voluntary extensions to universally reachable care. The methodology is in accord with the WHO principles and OECD strategy to financing health care systems, also it uses recent OECD macroeconomic data. The article will depict areas that we have to focus on to improve health system sustainability, while not making substantial compromises in availability and quality of care.
