Searching for the Stability of Healthcare Systems under Ageing Population Conditions in Germany, Austria and Czechia

  • Original language description

This paper investigates the impact of ageing populations on the financial stability of healthcare in Germany, Austria and Czechia within the context of distinct healthcare systems. It emphasises the financial risk management perspective and analyses demographic trends and healthcare spending. The study provides a comparative analysis and highlights the challenges posed by ageing populations, such as increased healthcare expenditure and changing demographics. It also discusses how each of the countries responds to these challenges, including efforts at digitalisation, healthcare consolidation and strategic planning. The research underscores the need for adaptive reforms to ensure sustainable healthcare systems in the context of demographic shifts.
