Hops as the plant itself is also active and belongs to a group of plants that are directly used as food. Spring hop shoots (asparagus) are used for salads. Hops has sedative, stimulates digestion, has disinfectant properties hops are used for insomnia, nervous agitation, restlessness, bloating or other complaints associated with menopause. Currently, significant interest in the pharmaceutical industry for substances contained in hop cones. This is essentially a prenylated flavonoids, because they were discovered significant antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and anti-carcinogenic effects.
