Nonlinear Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Structures
Original language description
Nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete structures is becoming a useful tool for structural engineers. The paper presents several examples of such approach from engineering practice. The numerical solution is based on the finite element method and thematerial model for concrete is based on the orthotropic smeared crack model capable of simulating cracking as well as material crushing. The fracture mechanics concept is considered through the implementation of the crack band model. The modification ofcrack band approach is used also for compressive failure.
