The conference paper describes the analysis of flame retardants - PBDE in Czech rivers. The results from biota and from SPMD passive samplers were compared both in the solid phase and in the sediments. The conclusion is that passive samplers can substitute analysis of biological samples and play important role for screening or monitoring of „cleaned“ and highly contaminated areas.
