Original language description
Assesment and valuation of ecosystem services based on the modell Energy-Transport-Reaction (ETR, Ripl 1995) is described. The approach is called EWV (energy-water-vegetation) and it considers the following ecosystem services: air-conditioning, water retention, oxygen production, biomass production etc. The EWV approach is combined with the biotope valuation method (BVM, Seják, Dejmal 2003). The scale of ecosystem service values reflects variety of benefits that society enjoys mostly free of charge, butwithout which cannot live. In cases of natural and semi-natural ecosystems the values reach the levels even above 3.000 euro per m2 .
