    Restoration project of shallow lakes in agricutlure landscape is described in terms of sediment stratification, chemical composition and phosphorus budget. About 300 000m3 of sediment were removed using a new technique of suction dredging. Redevelopmentof lake ecosystems after sediment removal is discussed and crucial role of catchment management emphasised.
