Tree development was very different at the diverse locations chosen for this trial. No one of the tested rootstocks ('Hamyra', 'St. Julien GF 655/2', 'Jaspi' and 'Ishtara') proved to be really dwarfing. The myrobalan ('Hamyra'), planted as control, grewthe strongest. The most dwarfing rootstock was 'St. Julien GF 655/2'. The rankings of the growth on the various rootstocks were influenced by the choice of cultivar and by the location. Best specific and also best accumulated yield was, with one exception, found on the rootstock 'Jaspi'. This rootstock also produced the best fruit size at two locations; only in Germany it was placed second behind 'Ishtara' in this respect. But it must be noted that the influence of the site location on fruit size was very strong. Suckering was a problem only on 'St. Julien GF 655/2'. 'Jaspi' and 'Ishtara' are promising semi-dwarfing rootstocks.

Vývoj stromů byl velmi rozdílný v různých lokalitách tohoto pokusu. Ani jedna z testovaných podnoží ('Hamyra', 'St. Julien GF 655/2', 'Jaspi' and 'Ishtara') se neukázala skutečně zakrslou. Myrobalán ('Hamyra'), vysazený jako kontrola, rostl nejsilněji. Nejslaběji rostoucí podnoží byla 'St. Julien GF 655/2'. Pořadí růstu na různých podnožích bylo ovlivněno zvolenou odrůdou a místem pěstování. Nejlepší specifický a také celkový výnos byl, až na jednu výjimku, na podnoži 'Jaspi'.
