Performance of new rootstocks in intensive apple orchards of the Czech Republic.
Original language description
Growth and cropping properties of the rootstock J-TE-G were similar to a very dwarfing standard M 27. Trees on this rootstock were slightly more vigorous but the yield efficiency was higher than that on M 27. The Franch rootstock Pajam 1 was promising incomparison to the standard M 9. Trees on this rootstock were more precocious and their vigour was slightly inferior. Their yield efficiency was significantly higher than that on M 9. The vigour of trees J-TE-E was about 10 % higher than on M 9. Howeverthe yield efficiency over 7 years was significantly lower.
