    The functional sample of water pump turbine is designed and tested in accordance with the international standard ČSN EN 60193 Water turbines, storage pumps and pump turbines - Acceptance tests on a model. The International Measurement Units (SI) system is used during measurement and evaluation. Model tests are performed and evaluated according to the valid standard ČSN EN 60193, including conversion of parameters to the prototype size based on model similarity. The purpose of the model tests is to verify the hydraulic parameters and obtain the hydraulic characteristics of the type pump turbine FR130. The development of the pump turbine with specifics speed 130 is based on the optimization of the hydraulic profile by means of computer software and the result is an runner with 9 blades. The energy parameters of the pump turbine were recalculated to constant Reynolds number 4*10^6 (according to IEC 60193). The measurement results were also evaluated in dimensionless characteristics. Measurement in both pump and turbine mode was performed by measuring individual openings of the distributor. All necessary characteristics of the pump turbine were measured. The measurement uncertainty was determined by the sum of the individual uncertainties of the ČBE hydraulic laboratory, this value is equal for the FR130 pump turbine 0.2805%.
