In 2002-2004, yield components were evaluated in 84 oat cultivars developed in former Czechoslovakia during the 20th century. Grain yield (or 1000-grain weight ? TGW, grain weight per panicle ? GWP, and grain number per panicle ? GNP) increased by 0.8 t.ha-1 (by 4.5 g, 0.66 g, and 10.63 grains, respectively) in the cultivars grown in the second half of the 20th century in comparison with those from the first half of the century. Statistically significant positive correlations were found between the grain yield and TGW (0.65), GWP (0.80), GNP (0.67), and negative correlations between a fertile panicle number (FPN) and GWP (-0.40), GNP (-0.48).

V letech 2002 až 2004 byly hodnoceny výnosotvorné prvky u 84 odrůd ovsa, které vznikly a byly pěstovány v průběhu 20. století na území bývalého Československa. Byl prokázán nárůst výnosu (resp.HTZ, HZL, PZL) o 0,8 t/ha, (4,5 g, 0,66 g, 10,63 zrn) u odrůdpěstovaných v 2. polovině 20 století oproti odrůdám z 1. poloviny století. Byly vypočteny statisticky významné kladné korelace mezi výnosem a HTZ (0,41), HZL (0,72) PZL (0,56), mezi HTZ a HZL (0,44), mezi PZL a HZL (0,84) a záporné korelace mezi PPL a HZL (-0,46) ,PZL (-0,56).
