As more wind and solar PV schemes come on line in the Czech Republic, as in other parts of Europe, problrms of grid stability intensify. The autors describe recent research to explode the possible role of small-scale pumped storage schemes, whitch cloudbe build with minimal environmental impact, to provide support for intermittent RE schemes.
