SYSTEM ARCHETYPES APPLIED BY MANAGERS IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY

  • Original language description

The article describes a difference between a mechanistic and systems approach used by managers in the hotel industry. Various methods, techniques, and tools are used to apply systems thinking in practice. Archetypes as permanently recurrent patterns of human behaviour belong to specific tools. The authors use examples to explain possible suitable application of these archetypes in the practice of running hotels and hotel chains.
