Information on corrosivity is important for the selection of materials and protective systems for various products and objects. Most elaborated is the information on corrosivity of atmospheres in whitch the clasification system and the methods of corrosivity derivation are standardized. A composite approach to the use fo the information on corrosivity of atmospheres for proper selection of materials and anticorrosive measures is presented.
