POSSIBILITY OF PREDICTION OF PAINT SYSTEMS EFFECIENCY BASED ON THE LABORATORY TEST RESULTS
Original language description
The contemporary development in the field of the corrosion test of paint protective properties tends to performance of accelerated cyclic laboratory tests. These tests simulate the individual atmospheric factors. The humidity test according to EN ISO 6270-1, the neutral salt spray test according to EN ISO 9227 and cyclic test designed in SVUOM had been used for the evaluation of water-borne coatings. The coating test panels are parallel exposed at the atmospheric corrosion test site for monitoring of decisive damage forms caused by atmospheric influences. The blistering is the dominant form of degradation after the accelerated corrosion tests. This study is aimed on mentioned degradation. The basic assumption for coating behaviour prediction may be obtained from the comparison of the results of the laboratory tests and the atmospheric exposures.
