Importance of Oxygen and Carbon Groups for Evaluation of Butyl Rubber Linnings Service Lifetime
Original language description
High resolution XPS spectra of C 1s, O 1s and S 2p revealed that the oxygen and sulphur were incorporated into the structure of linings forming carbonyl groups. The connections between Shore hardness rubber and presence of carbonyl groups after the exposures were considerable.
