Original language description
Zinc-nickel coating has higher corrosion resistance compared to electrodeposited zinc. The corrosion mechanism of Zn?Ni alloy coating differs from traditional zinc coating. The paper presents the results of field and laboratory accelerated corrosion tests of components with Zn-Ni coating. Detailed analysis of corrosion products and structure of coating had been performed. The results of these experiments show that it is necessary to propose a new accelerated test instead of neutral salt spray test for better prediction of service life.
