Original language description
The basic protective mechanisms of metallic electrodeposided coatings is barrier effect given by higher corrosion resistance of metal and reduce of access of corrosion stimulators. Protective coating porosity together with its thickness is primary parameter of quality and protective efficiency of coating. Accelerated corrosion tests are performed in different regimes, where the coatings are exposed to the increased temperature, high relative humidity and corrosion stimulators, but they cannot be used for prediction of coatings´ behaviour in real conditions. Except the corrosion resistance the serviceability of protective coatings may be affected by other specific properties.
