Original language description
There are many reasons for failure of galvanized tubes in hot water distribution systems. This paper concerns to study the effect of microstructure of galvanized coating to its corrosion resistance in water. The laboratory and model tests of various microstructure galvanized coatings had been performed. The other significant negative factor for the corrosion damage occurring is copper ions presence in water. The effect of copper was found for the real distribution systems and studied in the laboratory tests.
