Original language description
Cech Bridge is an arch bridge over river Vltava in Prague, the Czech Republic which was constructed in period 1905 - 1908. In 2012 the restoration of bronze sculptures and iron pylons started. There are many iron surfaces protected by paint system: pylons, lanterns (statue base) and other small elements. The paint layers were evaluated on pylons and on lanterns surfaces. The stratigraphy of paint systems was done which showed different numbers and types of layers on pylons and lanterns. Only the last 3layers were the same used on pylons and lanterns. The analysis of primer layers was done but the minimum pigment was not found.
