Original language description
Quantitative evaluation of the corrosiveness of the atmospheric environments is an extremely important issue for life estimation and maintenance control of steel structures. Specific micro-climates of large steel structures have some characteristics which may affect the corrosion performance of a metal and their durability. This study shows the determination and estimation methods of the specific microclimate corrosivity for steel bridge structures which may be used for prediction of deterioration of a steel bridge overtime.
