    Long term aging heat treatment procedure of various steels

    Aging tests will be performed in furnaces equipped by one master temperature regulator and one safety controller. Each of them has an individual circuit with thermocouple S. Safety regulator is a „watchdog“ in the case of overheating the furnace. Moreover in every furnace a special supplementary K thermocouple will be added. This thermocouple will be calibrated and mounted directly in the middle of a stack of specimens. The master temperature controller will be adjusted according to the value of this thermocouple – to ensure the right temperature of the samples directly. Values of this thermocouple will be logged via external microcomputer-based device for the all time of aging. Temperature records will be added to the samples after aging as a result. Logging thermocouple accuracy is +- 0.5 °C.
