On September 9 to 11 this year took place in Trinec 7th year of major European conference on European Oxygen Steelmaking Conference (EOSC). The main organizer of the conference was the Czech Metallurgical Society. This conference is included in the international calendar of European and international professional conferences Association International Society Institutes and Steelmaking (www.issisteel.org). The conference was organized by MATERIAL AND METALLURGICAL RESEARCH, Ltd., co-organizers of the conference were the following entities: OCELOT Ltd. - Metallurgical Journal, VSB - TU Ostrava, Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering VSB-TU Ostrava, TŽ.a.s and the town of TŘINEC. At the conference, a total of 60 papers has been said. The conference was attended by 144 experts from 20 countries: Czech Republic, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, China, India, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Ukrain
