Original language description
Material analysis of turbine blades made of nickel superalloy Inconel 713LC was perfomed. Samples were taken from the concerned blades from the heel parts, both from the blades wherein the mechanical properties did not reach the prescribed values of Rp0.2 = 660MPa, A5 = 3.5%, and from the blades that met the requirement of the specified values of mechanical properties. The aim was to evaluate the causes of failure to achieve the required level of mechanical properties in the case of some blades. All analyses were performed on broken samples of tensile tests. Structural phase analysis was performed using the technique of light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Purity of the material was assessed, as well as the occurrence of casting defects,the size of separated phases and consequently their morphology and distribution, including the identification of appropriate separated undesirable TPC phases.
