The paper presents the design, implementation and subsequent analysis of experiments based on theoretical calculation and comparing it with actually achieved degree of reduction in chromium slag. Main goal of the work is chromium reduction from the slag with a high content of Cr2O3 by using reducing agents carbon in the form of anthracite and silicon in the form of ferroalloys of FeSi. Reduction Technology of chromium from slag was proposed and experimentally realized for transmission to a big metallurgical unit electric arc furnace. Average contents of elements in the melt during the reduction amounted to 16% Cr, 5% Ni and 1% Mo. In an atmospheric induction melting furnace experimental melting were made performed by using an oxygen fuel burner which was designed a made for those experiments.
