Enhanced Attenuation of Chlorinated Solvents with Ethanol and Nonionic Surfactant
Original language description
Detailed results describing changes in physicochemical conditions in the aquifer are described after ethanol amendment and their influence upon pollutant biotransformation. Combined effect of ethanol addition followed by injection of the nonionic surfaceactive compound SUPERNEU-R is mentioned. That combination increase substantially rate of desorption as well as the rate of biotransformation of pollutants. Two case studies are presented.
