Velvet Revolution and the Centre/Periphery Model. The Case of South Bohemia
Original language description
The study is the theoretical Centre/Periphery Model application to the specific situation of the South Bohemian Region in the Velvet Revolution. The author focuses on the description of the theoretical Centre/Periphery Model in the context of its general use in social sciences. He tries to apply it to the situation in 1989 successfully. The basic problem of the Velvet Revolution was, apart other things, its spread from the centre (Prague) to the peripheral regions (outside Prague). This was essential for a success in this process.
