Human rights are an integral part of the personality of every human being, be they the rights of children, elderly persons, foreign nationals, people in material need, refugees, disabled persons or others. Restrictions are most frequently put just on the rights of members of minority groups in society. Full respect for human rights not only promotes diversity in society, but also offers the oppor tunities for personal fulfilment and self -determination of the people belonging to risk groups, whilst bringing many benefits for the majority of the population. Human rights go hand in hand with the need to instil a culture of tolerance and non-discrimination in society.
