The aim of this paper is to highlight the present state od FMIs and the on-going proces of FMIs regulation on national and international scale. Financial markets development and growth has to be supported by different kinds of technological and financialservices performed b different institutions. The complex of such services is calle ?financial markets imfrastructures (FMIs).? IOSCO defines 5 types of FMIs; however, from the theoretical point of view the range of FMI sis muc broader. In this paper elements of selected parts of FMIs are analysed to be able to formulate, firstly, the character of relations between the FM and FMIs, and secondyl, to point out the FMIs´ development tendencies. The main topical issues of FMIs´ regulation on international levels are explained.
