Original language description
Financing of Czech public universities depends heavily on government budget. Sudden adverse change in public expenditure on education can universities put in great danger. This article discusses possible ways of increasing the share of student payments without reducing the number of students and preventing students from low income groups studying and so to reduce the dependence of universities on the government. The human capital contract, graduated tax and income-contingent loans are described and existingfunctioning of systems used of deferred tuition in Australia and England are analysed. The article further brings a list of reasons why no of Czech attempts to establish deferred tuition succeeded and what must be sdone before any other attempt.
