Is there a lack of economic theory in economic education? A pilot study in the englishspeaking world and the CEE
Original language description
This study deals with the roots and causes of the perceived lack of general education of graduates in economic fields on both sides of the globe - in developed market economies and in economies in transition. We present a pilot comparative study of the contemporary concept of the subject of economics as it is taught to economists, accountants and other professionals at universities in the English-speaking world and in the countries of CEE, particularly the Czech Republic.
