    Possibilities of increasing the hydraulic activity of belite clinker

  • Original language description

    Pure belite clinkers with interstitial matter comprising C3A and C4AF are not commercially produced, since they yield materials of insufficient strength. Our research is focused on the preparation of a belite clinker with increased ratio of CaO : SiO2 inthe crystal structure by introduction of SO3 in the structure. Cements prepared from these clinkers have shown mechanical strengths distinctly higher than the reference high belite clinker; their long-term strengths almost equaled to that of the reference alite cement.
