Experiment with biomass left in the field (mulch) was established on the site of the Grassland Research Station in Zubří to study the incidence of silvertop in relation to true bug abundance. It was proved that the occurrence of silvertop stems and the number of true bug nymphs significantly decreased with intesity of mulching.
