Original language description
In transformation inducedplasticity (TRIP) steels, proper microstructure is essential. The TRIP effect provides the material with high plasticity owing to high vollume fraction ofductile phases (ferrite and austenite) in microstructure. In consequence, it provides high hardening through deformation and transformation. The hardening is caused by transformation of retained austenite to martensite.

Czech description
Základem pro využití ocelí s transformačně indukovanou plasticitou (ocelí TRIP) je jejich správná mikrostruktura. Jev TRIP přináší materiálu vysokou plasticitu v důsledku velkého podílu tvárných fází mikrostruktury (feritu a austenitu). Díky tomu docházík výraznému deformačnímu a transformačnímu zpevňování přeměnou zbytkového austenitu na martenzit.
