Original language description
The alloy CuAl10Ni5Fe4 belongs to high strength copper alloys, usually reaches over 800 MPa of tensile strength. It is very corrosion, wear, acids, caustics and high temperature resistant material. Its formability at high temperatures (in beta phase areais very good) nevertheless it has very low formability in low temperatures. Martensitic-like transformation and increase of strength occurs during rapid cooling (quenching) but the alloy is then very brittle and unsuitable for further machining. Contribution deals with the influence of heat treatment (annealing, quenching, and ageing) on the structure and mechanical properties of pressed rods. Microstructure was evaluated by means of light and scanning electron microscopy. Character and volume fractionof phase alpha and phases kappa and their effect on mechanical properties was observed.
