Original language description
The aim of the project between company Benteler Tube Manegment GmbH and COMTES FHT a.s. was notch impact toughness evaluation for ring shaped samples. Considered samples geometry was non-standard and thus standard pendulum has to be modified. A new hammer and supports has to be designed and machined. Instrumented tests are required and instrumented tup is to be made. In the first part of the project a new testing set up was designed and testing prior to subsequent tests. Subsequently the transition curves were measured. Subsequently the standard Charpy notch toughness tests were done on some steels. At the conclusion of this project there were carried out standard Charpy notch toughness tests on the Drop weight tower.
