Carbide spheroidisation in 100CrMnSi6-4 bearing steel by controlled rolling
Original language description
The article decribes proces of accelerated carbide spheroidisation. Bearing steel in with pearlic structure was rolled at temperatures close below and above A1 temperature. Pearlitic lamellae spheroidisation was accelerated by plastic deformation and fully spheroidised structure was formend after controlled rolling. This proces is able to replace conventional hot rolling with subsequent soft annealing. Structure composed of globular carbides and ferritic matrix was achieved during controlled rolling andair cooling.
